Hubei Agricultural Remote Sensing Applied Engineering Technology Research Center

Hubei Agricultural Remote Sensing Applied Engineering Research Center began in the 1980s. In 2009, the Ministry of Agriculture established the Wuhan Branch of Remote Sensing Application Center of the Agriculture Ministry on the basis of the Faculty of Resources and Environment of Hubei University and the Research Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regionalization of Hubei Province. The Center has carried out multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary scientific research on the application of agricultural remote sensing technology. In the past three years, a series of achievements have been made, including 175 related scientific research projects and 34.88 million yuan of research funds, including 10 National Natural Science Foundation, 1 National 863 Program, 1 sub-project of the 973 Program, 2 Spark Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 1 National Science and Technology Infrastructure Platform of the Ministry of Science and Technology. More than 160 papers have been published and 4 provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological achievements, and 30 patents have been approved and examined, of which 13 are directly related to the acquisition of geospatial information. The center has become one of the characteristic research units in Hubei and even central China, which have been focusing on the application of agricultural remote sensing technology for a long time.
